The United States has sued Lockheed Martin, Lockheed Martin Services and Mission Support Alliance Limited, as well as a Lockheed executive for false claims and rebates on billions of dollars in clearing nuclear power plant contracts, the Justice Department said on Friday.
The lawsuit accused Lockheed of paying more than $1 million to senior MINUSTA executives to obtain management and technical support at a high interest rate at Hanford, Washington, Web site from 2010 to mid-2016, winning a subcontract of $232 million. It also states that the defendant lied about the amount of profit contained in Lockheed's rate.
Representatives of Lockheed Martin did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
At that time, MSA was owned by Lockheed Martin Integrated Technology LLC, Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. and Centra Group. According to the Ministry of Justice, it awarded the subcontract to Lockheed Technologies Group without competition.
