The Foreign Ministry refutes the US's comments on suppressing Chinese Enterprise

      On February 12, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying presided over a regular press conference. Some journalists asked questions about the deployment of Huawei equipment by Hungary during a joint meeting between US Secretary of State Pompeo and Hungarian Foreign Minister Seardo, and the claim by the US Ambassador to the European Union that any country that allows the use of Chinese enterprise equipment will face the risk of retaliation by US sanctions.

Regarding a series of statements made by the United States, whether by U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo or by U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, we have indeed noticed that for some time, the United States has spared no effort to concoct various "unnecessary" charges, various "China Threat Theory", and even naked threats and incitement to China and other countries. The US side's actions are neither fair nor ethical because of its relationship, which discredits and suppresses the rights and interests of Chinese companies in their legitimate development and cooperation. There is absolutely no big country should act and conduct. We believe that the real intentions of the vast majority of countries towards the United States and the substance of their bullying are countable, and their eyes are bright. We hope that all parties will abandon ideological prejudice and zero-sum game thinking and provide fair, just, open, inclusive, transparent and normative conditions and environment for normal international friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation.
