Polish officials may cancel their planned trip to Israel. Michael Dworczyk, head of the Prime Minister's office, said Monday that the media had reported the Prime Minister's remarks, suggesting that Poland was complicit in the massacre.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki earlier decided to cancel his visit to Israel, and Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz would instead visit Israel. But with the deepening of diplomatic disputes, the whole visit can now be cancelled.
Dworczyk noted what he called a "shameful" new statement by Israel's foreign ministry.
"According to this statement, any participation of Polish state representatives in the Israeli V4 summit is a very big question mark," Dworczyk told the state ratio. Israel's V4 summit is a planned gathering of leaders from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.
