EU grounded Boeing 737 MAX

      The European Union's aviation safety regulator announced Tuesday that all flights were grounded on Boeing (BA.N) 737 MAX, and the chairman of the U.S. Senate Aerospace Affairs Committee recommended similar action by the United States. Earlier, Ethiopian Airlines crashed a Boeing 737 Max airliner, killing all 157 people on board.
Britain, Germany and France joined in grounding 737 MAX passenger planes after Sunday's air crash in Egypt, and India quickly made similar decisions, adding to the pressure on the United States to take follow-up measures.
Boeing said it understands the grounding decisions of various countries, but remains "confident" about the 737 MAX and puts safety first. Boeing is the world's largest aircraft manufacturer, after the Aeronautics crash, the market value of Boeing has evaporated billions of dollars.
Boeing also said that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) did not require any further action related to the operation of 737 MAX passenger aircraft.
The cause of the accident is still unknown. Five months ago, a 737 MAX air crash in Indonesia killed 189 people.
There is no evidence of any connection between the two accidents. Aircraft experts say it's too early to guess the cause of the crash. Most accidents are caused by a series of unique human and technical factors.
