      Former British Foreign Secretary Johnson said Sunday that it was not too late for the government to make "substantial changes" to the withdrawal agreement of British Prime Minister Theresa May and warned Parliament again this week about voting on the withdrawal agreement.
Johnson was a leading figure in Britain's delisting referendum in 2016, which may affect other MPs'votes on the Teresa Metro agreement. In a column published in the Daily Telegraph, he asked if there was a way to break the deadlock in Parliament over Britain's withdrawal from Europe.
"Maybe," he answered. "The EU summit will be held this week. It is not too late to make substantive amendments to the safeguards clause. It is absurd to vote before trying to amend the agreement."
He also said that Teresa May should outline her own strategy for future negotiations with the EU, "explain fundamental issues and reassure doubtful parliamentarians."
