A spokesman for British Prime Minister Teresa May said on Friday that she was determined to implement her withdrawal agreement and eliminate uncertainty, although he could not confirm when British parliamentarians would vote on it.
The spokesman said that it was important for the government to vote in parliament on the agreement with real hope of success, but he pointed out that the agreement reached between Teresa May and EU leaders to postpone Britain's withdrawal to May 22 depended on winning support for the agreement next week.
"The Prime Minister is absolutely determined to implement the withdrawal agreement, eliminate uncertainty and give the country and employers a clear future," the spokesman said.
Regarding whether the Speaker of the British Parliament allowed another vote on the withdrawal agreement, the spokesman said that it was very important that the EU approved additional documents. The Prime Minister will meet with several government ministers on Friday, the spokesman said.
