Reference News Network reported on June 6 that foreign media said that in the near future, American enterprises'worries and anxieties about business operations are intensifying.
According to Reuters on June 4, some business associations and consultants in the United States said that more and more enterprises are consulting them on how to deal with risks properly. They expect such consultation to surge as the FedEx incident unfolds in the United States.
More worrying for U.S. companies, the report says, is China's unprecedented plan to create a list of "unreliable" entities. China's Ministry of Commerce announced on May 31 that foreign enterprises, organizations or individuals that seriously damage the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises will be listed, but no country or enterprise will be named separately.
The U.S. -China National Committee on Trade (USCBC) told Reuters on June 3 that members'anxiety is rising, especially with regard to the above list. The committee represents about 200 U.S. companies operating in China.
"For them, the key point is that there is great uncertainty about how the list will be implemented and what negative impacts it will have on listed companies." Peng Jiening, Vice President of China Affairs of USCBC, said.
Reuters said it was not clear how many American companies did business with China, but the number of American Chamber of Commerce member companies in Beijing and Shanghai exceeded 2,000.
