On Tuesday, President Trump further intensified his attack on Britain, a close ally, and attacked "silly" Prime Minister Teresa May and "eccentric" ambassadors to the United States. Earlier, Kim Darroch, British ambassador to the United States, called the Trump administration "incompetent".
Teresa May fully supports Darroch. The latter described Trump's government as "incompetent" and "incompetent" in its memorandum, which was leaked to a British newspaper on Sunday.
Although several British government ministers and spokesmen for Teresa May have stated that these leaked memorandums only reflect some of Darroch's views, and do not represent the views of the government, they have angered Trump. He sent out a second wave of severely worded tweets.
"Britain's imposition on such an eccentric Ambassador as the United States does not excite us. This is a fool," Trump wrote, referring to Darroch as a "pretentious fool".
"He should talk to his country and Prime Minister Teresa May about the failure of the exit negotiations, and not be unhappy about my criticism of their improper handling of the matter. I told Teresa May what to do, but she still acted in her own foolish way and could not quit Europe. It's a disaster!"
Johnson, a former London mayor and a popular candidate for the next prime minister, said Britain's relationship with the United States was extremely important.
