South Korea says Japan's export restrictions will hit multinational companies

      A South Korean government source said Wednesday that Japan's export restrictions on South Korea would adversely affect multinational technology companies and undermine Samsung's operations in Austin, Texas.
The anonymous source told reporters in Seoul that Japan's approach does not conform to the principles of the World Trade Organization (WTO), but South Korea hopes to resolve the dispute through dialogue.
The source said that if Japan even removed South Korea from the "white list" of the countries with the lowest trade restrictions, it would lead to "great problems."
