China imposes anti-dumping duties on stainless steel billets from EU and Japan

      China's Ministry of Commerce said Monday that it decided to impose anti-dumping duties on imported stainless steel billets and hot-rolled stainless steel sheets/coils originating in the European Union, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia, ranging from 18.1% to 103.1%, for a period of five years, effective July 23, 2019.
The final ruling announcement issued on the website of the Ministry of Commerce also states that the products originating in the above countries are dumped, and the domestic industry has suffered substantial damage, and there is a causal relationship between dumping and substantial damage.
The announcement also pointed out that the Ministry of Commerce accepted the application of price commitment from relevant Korean enterprises and did not impose anti-dumping duties on products not lower than the promised price.
