NTT Docomo (9437.T), Japan's largest telecommunications company, announced on its website that it would resume ordering Huawei's P30 Pro smartphones starting Wednesday.
Other major Japanese carriers, KDDI Corp (9433.T) and Softbank (9434.T), have resumed selling Huawei's new smartphones.
Since the United States blacklisted Huawei in May, NTT Docomo has interrupted orders for Huawei's mobile phones. The United States alleges Huawei's involvement in activities that violate U.S. national security or foreign policy interests.
U.S. Commerce Secretary Ross said Monday that the U.S. government will extend the moratorium on Huawei Technologies Ltd. to allow the Chinese company to continue to buy parts from U.S. companies to supply existing customers. Meanwhile, the United States blacklisted more than 40 Huawei subsidiaries.
