At its biggest marketing campaign, Apple also released its main products for the next year and showed its ambition to increase price competitiveness.
Starting in November, the long-awaited Apple TV + streaming TV service will be available in more than 100 countries.
Customers who buy an iPhone, iPad or Mac will receive a free streaming TV service for one year, which may attract hundreds of millions of users. The new service suddenly put pressure on pure streaming video companies.
"I think the pricing of Apple TV service is really a surprise," said Michael James, head of stock trading at Wedbush Securities in Los Angeles. "As a result, other video service-related businesses have been hit, such as Netflix, Amazon and Roku. Obviously, that's the good news you want to hear.
Apple has not tied up its music and other services as some analysts expected. But Ben Bajarin, an analyst at Creative Strategies, said that Apple's TV service, Arcade games, which cost $5 a month, and the common version of the iPhone 11 were designed to appeal to long-term users.
"We didn't expect Apple's Arcade service, especially Apple TV pricing, to be so aggressive," Bajarin said. "They know that once consumers enter their ecosystem, they will not leave."
