China's stock market closed higher on Friday, with reports that top U.S. and Chinese economic and trade officials will discuss China's plans to expand purchases of U.S. agricultural products earlier on Friday. In exchange, China will ask the United States to withdraw some existing and planned tariff increases.
The Shanghai Composite Index. SSEC rose 0.5 percent to 2954.93. CSI300 closed 0.7% higher.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.6% this week, while the CSI 300 index rose 0.7%.
The CSI 300 financial real estate index fell 0.3%, the CSI 300 major consumer index rose 2.7%, the CSI 300 real estate index rose 0.5%, and the CSI 300 medical and health index rose 2.2%.
The Shenzhen composite index. Szsc rose 0.99% and the growth enterprise market index rose 1.299%.
