On Sunday local time, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that a woman in Texas who was approved to be released from quarantine on Saturday was rushed to hospital because of a positive test for her new crown. Ron Nirenberg, mayor of San Antonio, Texas, tweeted Sunday that the CDC's actions were "unacceptable.". According to US media reports, the woman flew back from Wuhan with the US government's evacuation plane, and was immediately arranged to be isolated and recuperated at the San Antonio base in Texas.
