The German economy may shrink by more than 6% this year

      A government source told Reuters on Friday that the German economy will contract by more than 6% this year, the deepest contraction since World War II.
The source added that Germany's economy will recover from the coronavirus pandemic in 2021, with a growth rate of more than 5%.
Germany's Spiegel first reported the figures, citing forecasts from the German Ministry of economy next week.
A spokesman for the German Ministry of economy said there was no final growth forecast.
