Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), the broadest Asia-Pacific stock index outside Japan, rose 1.1%, the highest level since October 2. The index rose 0.9% on the day.
Financial spreads are expected to be flat in Europe, with London FTSE falling 2 points to 7,177, Frankfurt falling 1 point to 11,308 and Paris CAC rising 1 point to 5,161.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong rose 1.3% to a six-month high, while the Kospi and Taiwan indices in South Korea rebounded to early October levels. Japan's Nikkei index rose 0.6% to a two-month high.
China's blue-chip stocks rose 0.3% due to foreign capital inflows, continuing to rise to 18% from their low on January 4.
