Boeing alters spare parts for Euro withdrawal

      Boeing has been shifting spare parts between distribution centers in the UK and other parts of the world in preparation for Britain's withdrawal from Europe, a senior executive said Tuesday.
Britain's possible exit from the EU without an agreement is a headache for the global aerospace industry, which relies heavily on integrated supply chains and parts distribution centers.
"Our spare parts are in the right place," Ken Shaw, head of supply chain management for Boeing Services, told Reuters at the Australian International Air Show.
"We keep looking at demand signals because we don't have to worry until we get to London distribution centers and deliver parts to France. Now we have to be more purposeful so that we can redistribute inventory. "
Airbus said this month that it had spent tens of millions of euros to buy parts and protect IT systems.
Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC effectively moved its most famous jet engine design to Germany last month to avoid regulatory delays or sales disruptions after Britain's withdrawal from Europe.
