All 157 people on board Ethiopian aircraft were killed

      - The crash of an Ethiopian Airlines airliner destined for Nairobi on Sunday, minutes after takeoff, killed all 157 people on board, raising questions about the safety of Boeing 737 MAX 8, which also crashed in Indonesia last October.
The Sunday flight took off from Bole Airport in Addis Ababa at 8:38 a.m. (0538 GMT) local time. Minutes later, it lost contact with the control tower at 8:44 a.m.
China Civil Aviation Administration has ordered domestic transport airlines to suspend commercial operations of Boeing 737-8 aircraft.
"No survivors," Aeronautics tweeted, attaching a picture of CEO Tewolde GebreMariam at the crash site, holding a piece of aircraft debris.
"The pilot mentioned that he had difficulties and wanted to return," Tewolde said at a press conference.
Tewolde said the passengers were from 33 countries.
Boeing 737 MAX 8 was the same model as Indonesian Lion Airlines, which crashed shortly after its flight on October 29 last year. All 189 people on board were killed in the Lion Airlines crash.
