Bank of America Merrill Lynch believes that although 5G is a hot topic, participants still return to reality - 50% of participants believe that the permeability of 5G may be only 10% or even less by the end of 2021. As for the tense Sino-US trade situation, 31% of the participants believed that Huawei would still be the biggest winner of the 5G market in 2021, with the highest market share.
As for the recent conservative and cautious memory market, up to 71% of participants believed that the average price of DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) in the second quarter might fall by more than 10%, and 63% believed that the industry would not recover before 2020. As for the prospects of the semiconductor industry in the coming years, there are more than 44% short, compared with 13%.
