70 years of ups and downs in China's automobile industry

      On a sultry summer day in July 1987, a 70-year-old man was thrilled at the 30th Anniversary Conference of FAW Jiefang Truck.
"I'm too old to start a third venture in China's automobile industry. However, I would like to lie on the ground and turn it into a bridge so that everyone can step on my body and work together to build cars to realize the dream of Chinese cars for generations.
At the scene, the birds were silent. People under the stage saw that his eyes were sparkling with tears. He cried, and his old tears were in full swing.
Half a month later, the old man suddenly fell ill while he was in Shanghai investigating the nationalization project of Santana. His last words to the world were: "Comrades, I am so tired that I want to sleep for a while."
This old man is known as Rao Bin, the father of China's automobile industry.
He was the first factory director of FAW and FAW, and built Jiefang, Hongqi and Dongfeng automobiles (4.560, 0.00, 0.00%) with workers.
In the early 1980s, he led the formation of China Automobile Industry Corporation, and continued to promote the reform and opening up of China's automobile industry in the industry front line.
In 2009, China's automobile production and sales jumped to the first place in the world. Tens of millions of cars entered Chinese families. Rao Bin's forerunners could not wait for this moment.
