The original plan was to complete the beidou-3 system by the end of 2020. Now I am very confident that all beidou-3 satellite launches will be completed by the end of June next year, half a year ahead of schedule. Beidou No. 3 construction task is about to be completed, and the subsequent stable operation will rise to a height as important as engineering construction, application promotion and international cooperation. The stable operation of Beidou system is also the world's leading level, contributing a global coverage, advanced performance and first-class satellite navigation system to the world.
According to the public information, Beidou No. 3 project was officially started in 2009. The space segment of beidou-3 satellite navigation system is composed of 27 medium earth orbit satellites, 5 synchronous orbit satellites and 3 tilt synchronous orbit satellites, providing two service modes, namely, open service and authorization service. Open service is to provide free positioning, speed measurement and time service in the service area, with positioning accuracy of 10 meters, time service accuracy of 50 nanoseconds and speed measurement accuracy of 0.2 meters / second. Authorized service is to provide authorized users with more secure positioning, speed measurement, time service and communication services as well as system integrity information.
At 2:7 on November 19, 2018, China successfully launched the 42nd and 43rd Beidou navigation satellites in the way of "one arrow, two stars" with long march 3B carrier rocket in Xichang Satellite Launch Center. So far, the deployment of the space constellation of the basic system of beidou-3 global networking has been completed successfully, which marks that China's Beidou has taken a "key step" from regional to global.
