North Korea condemned a report released last week by the State Department that North Korea is a sponsor of terrorism, the KCNA news agency reported on Tuesday, saying it was an example of the "hostile policy" of the United States towards North Korea and would hinder the continued progress of the denuclearization negotiations between the two countries.
North Korean and U.S. officials met for the first time in October after President trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un agreed in June to restart talks on denuclearization, but failed, with the North Korean envoy saying the United States failed to show flexibility.
KCNA quoted a spokesman for North Korea's foreign ministry as saying the State Department's report "shows once again" that the United States is still pursuing its hostile policy towards North Korea.
"Because of this attitude and position adopted by the United States, the window of dialogue between the DPRK and the United States has gradually narrowed," the report said.
